CALL FOR APPLICATIONS – FJORD Program

Deadline : December 18th, 2022

"The support that Confluence - CV has given me so far is invaluable. Whether it is on a psychological or financial level, without their support, the bridge between "the before" and "the after" would have seemed so much more vertiginous to me. I have always felt respected, supported and encouraged in this sometimes winding and unpredictable journey. Thank you so much for all the help, the listening and the kindness, without you the path would be much harder!”

- Circus artist, participant in a Confluence program – CV

Drawing on twenty years of experience, observation and study, we launched the Fleuve program in September 2022. However, we know that a group approach may not be suitable for all performing artists. Therefore, thanks to the financial support of the ministère de la Culture et des Communications, we are now launching the individual counterpart of Fleuve, the FJORD program.

FJORD is a confidential and individual program that invites performing artists to take the time necessary to reflect in depth and make an informed decision about their professional future.

Through the implementation of the FJORD program, Confluence - CV aims to improve the well-being and socio-economic profile of professional artists in the performing arts disciplines.

Eligibility

A limited selection committee, bound by strict confidentiality, will select a cohort of 35 artists to participate in the program. To apply, you must :

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

  • Be a professional artist working in one or more performing arts disciplines.

  • Be an established artist and no longer be considered as an emerging artist* in your field.

  • Have the time and interest to invest in a serious process and to commit constructively to the group.

*Confluence - CV recognizes the coexistence of several definitions of emergence. In this context, we are committed to taking into account the individual experience of each candidate during the selection process.

Participating in FJORD gives you the time and space to reflect on your career and reframe it in a way that is aligned with your needs and values. FJORD is an opportunity to get back on track, to raise the level of competence in the arts sector and to contribute to the valorization of knowledge.

This project is made possible thanks to the financial support of the Government of Québec.
