CALL FOR APPLICATIONS COHERENCE IV - Complementary Career Development Program

For emerging artists in the performing arts disciplines

12 places available

Application deadline : July 31, 2022

We care about the vitality of performing artists' careers, that goes hand in hand with their sense of self-actualization.

Thanks to the generous financial assistance granted by the Conseil des arts et lettres du Québec as well as a sponsorship from the Caisse de la Culture, and after having tested the model with previous cohorts of artists in 2021, Confluence - CV is now opening a fourth cohort of the program Cohérence. This program is geared towards emerging artists from various performing arts disciplines and aims to facilitate the development of a complementary career (outside of the performing arts), that could lead to a lasting and satisfying parallel professional pathway.

Through the implementation of the Coherence program, Confluence - CV is pursuing its overarching goal of retaining artistic talent in their communities.

A small selection committee, guided by Confluence - CV management and operating under strict confidentiality, will select 12 performance artists who will participate in the project

To submit your application, you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and have your legal domicile in Quebec

  • Be a professional performance artist working in Quebec in the fields of music, song, opera, dance, theatre, or circus.

  • Have between 1 and 7 years of professional experience as a performance artist and be considered as emerging in your field. The programme Cohérence is geared towards young artists, and the available places will be given in priority to people of approximately 30 years of age and younger*.

  • Have the time and interest to embark on a serious action plan starting in March 2022 and to begin a training program within the short term (6 months).

*Confluence - CV recognizes that the definition of emergence is not unanimous and is committed to taking into account the individual experience of each candidate during the selection process.
