CALL FOR APPLICATIONS - Archipel Program - volet 1

For artists 50 years of age and older in the performing arts disciplines

Application deadline : May 21, 2023 before 11:59 pm.

8 places available

After many years of dedication to their art, some artists are seriously considering repositioning themselves in their milieu in a different capacity, while being concerned about the need to start large and expensive studies.

Confluence - CV is implementing its new Archipel program - Volet 1, which is specifically designed for artists aged 50 and over. This program will offer short term training courses to provide artists with interesting career options that will allow them to combine their rich professional experience with new skills for the benefit of their community.

Confluence - CV is grateful for the financial support of the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec, the Conseil des Arts et Lettres du Québec and the Caisse Desjardins de la Culture for this program.

First proposal: Qualifying course in Project Management

Customized with the expert collaboration of Mrs. Claude Palmarini from GPBL Penser projet, this 35 to 42 hour training course will allow participants to acquire the required skills in project management. They will thus be able to enhance their field of competence, while contributing to fulfilling a clear need in the cultural sector.

According to Projet Management Institute® Montréal (PMI Montréal), "[p]roject management is the art of structuring all the activities, resources and teams necessary for the successful completion of a project in order to achieve a specific, value-added result". The "project" can take countless forms depending, in particular, on the work organization in the company. It may involve managing or controlling all or parts of an artistic production, an assistance program, a service, etc., using a proven method.

The training provided as part of Archipel - Volet 1 is a gateway to the world of project management. Rigorous and comprehensive, this training will allow participants to assist administrators and management by taking responsibility, for example, of project execution, cost management, coordination of activities, etc. In addition, upon completion, participants will have the prerequisites to be eligible to apply for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) exam.

A strictly confidential selection committee will select the artists who will participate in the program.
